Message from the Director

Last month, our Technical Assistance (TA) team members undertook an impressive 758 interactions around the state (see graph below). This month our Steering and Advisory Committees approved a record 22 Build Kansas Fund (BKF) applications – 9 Airport Infrastructure Grant (AIG) and 13 Preventing Outages & Enhancing the Resilience of the Electric Grid Applications(40101d) – totaling $3,749,773.25 in approved BKF funding. In the last two weeks, five new Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) Notice of Funding Opportunities (NOFOs) were released – see below for details. Later next month, Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) applications are due, and we’re expecting a larger number from Kansas.
