Message from the Director
During the month of September, the Kansas Infrastructure Hub held the first Technical Assistance (TA) Conveying meeting, bringing together 35 technical assistance providers located across the state of Kansas for a half day discussion. We had an opportunity to learn more about building the capacity of small and mid-size communities, advancing projects to a state of “grant readiness” and the dissemination and development of funding opportunities. As a result of these conversations, our team is developing a TA Resource Guide which we hope will be a valuable tool for the sharing of best practices and resources.
Along with the TA guide, we are also producing a Finance Resource Guide, where you will be able to learn about funding opportunities by infrastructure sector and program type, providing essential details on eligibility criteria, award amounts, deadlines, and application processes. It is our hope this guide will provide a one-stop-shop for learning about grant opportunities across broadband, cybersecurity, energy, resilience, transportation, water, and community planning and development.
As we look to the month of October, our team is excited to hit the road by attending the KDOT Local Consults, the agency’s public engagement process for the IKE program, which is used to gather input from Kansans on potential expansion and modernization projects across the state. We hope to see many of you there! Our team will also be present at the Kansas Association of Airports Annual Conference as well as the League of Kansas Municipalities. If you see us at any of these events, please do stop by and say hello. We want to meet you and understand how the Kansas Infrastructure Hub can be of assistance.
