Message from the Director

During the month of December our office received exciting news about the Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) and the Airport Infrastructure Grant (AIG) programs. Across the state of Kansas, fourteen (14) SS4A and ten (10) AIG federal award notifications were announced. We are so pleased for our award recipients and want to encourage all of the communities we are supporting to keep the momentum going! Our state is beginning to see the rewards of your hard work and dedication.

If your community has not collaborated with the Kansas Infrastructure Hub in the past, please do reach out to us to see how we can be helpful. Whether it is a conversation around grants and resources, helping to determine what type of opportunity (state/federal/both) is right for your community, or if you need a colleague to help you solve the question, “what do I do next,” we are a phone call or email away.

One of the Hub’s goals for 2026 is to increase our visibility and educational opportunities across the state. We anticipate several new federal grant notifications to be released in the first quarter of the new year and we want to help communities reach their potential; either by identifying appropriate grant opportunities, discussing the value of strategic planning, increasing the visibility around regionalization or assisting in the preparation of materials so communities are, “grant ready,” when the awards are announced. We are here for you.

As we near the end of the year, I wish to take this opportunity to thank everyone who supported the Kansas Infrastructure Hub in 2025. Your collaboration and commitment make our shared mission possible. We very much look forward to being your trusted thought partner in 2026!
