Message from the Director
March has carried forward the strong momentum established at the beginning of 2026, with continued progress across the Kansas Infrastructure Hub’s core priorities. Rather than slowing down, activity has accelerated as communities move from early-stage planning into more advanced phases of project development and implementation.
Throughout the month, our team has remained engaged across Kansas—working alongside local leaders, technical partners, and state stakeholders to refine project strategies while focusing on helping communities navigate key inflection points: strengthening funding applications, aligning projects with available resources, and ensuring readiness for upcoming opportunities. As timelines tighten and competition for funding increases, early coordination and clarity of scope have proven more important than ever.
This work continues to highlight a central reality: successful infrastructure delivery depends on preparation as much as opportunity. Projects that move efficiently are those grounded in clear planning, strong partnerships, and a shared understanding of outcomes. Our role remains centered on supporting that foundation—helping partners anticipate challenges, streamline processes, and position their projects for durable success.
Across the state, the diversity of infrastructure needs remains evident. From water and wastewater systems to broadband expansion, transportation networks, and energy resilience, each community brings distinct priorities and opportunities. What unites these efforts is a shared commitment to long-term impact—investments that not only address immediate needs but also strengthen economic stability and quality of life.
March has also underscored the value of sustained collaboration. By continuing to deepen relationships with state agencies, regional organizations, tribal nations, and local governments, we are helping to ensure that efforts remain aligned and resources are used effectively. Consistent coordination is what transforms individual projects into broader, statewide progress.
Looking ahead to April, we hope each of you will join us for our Kansas Infrastructure Hub Summit on April 29 in Hays, Kansas. We have an exciting agenda and it will prove to be an incredible day.
Together, we are not only maintaining momentum—we are building the capacity and partnerships needed to deliver infrastructure that will serve Kansas well into the future.
